Learning Standards
Georgia is in the process of revising and improving the state learning standards. Standards for the grade and content areas that have been revised are provided through the Georgia Performance Standards (GPS). Standards for the grade and content areas that have not yet been revised are still available under Georgia's Quality Core Curriculum (QCC) standards. To see which set of standards is applicable to a particular course, consult the GPS Phase In Plan for the schedule of revisions.
Testing Criteria
Students will be tested on the Georgia learning standards on all state-mandated assessments including the CRCT, EOCT, and GHSGT. Student performance on these standardized tests determines promotion/retention and student placement for the following school year and fulfills graduation requirements.
