Our three-prong approach and the quality and skill of our tutors sets us apart. Whether your child needs help in one subject or in school overall, Accolade tutors will provide the personalized instruction they need to succeed and excel. Accolade provides the quality and breadth of tutoring services in all subjects pre-K through adult to raise student confidence and grades. Our tutors provide academic coaching, homework help, study skills, state test preparation and SAT/ACT test preparation. They also provide flexible scheduling and options to meet every family's unique needs and schedules.

Academic Background

Most of our tutors have a minimum of a four-year degree and many hold masters and doctorate level degrees in their areas of expertise. Some tutors are currently working on their degree, are degreed at the associate level, or hold other certifications. These tutors have demonstrated an exceptional skill level, often in high-level, difficult, and hard to master subject areas. Additionally, they possess a strong aptitude for teaching. Our tutors have a proven record of academic excellence and impressive credentials. They are skilled and experienced in all subjects ranging from basic elementary skills to collegiate math and science and SAT/ ACT preparation.

Teaching Experience

Our tutors are experienced with one-on-one instruction and/or classroom teaching. Leaders in their fields, many have sought specialized training in their academic areas, teaching methodologies, and test-taking strategies. Their training and experience extend to special needs areas and advanced placement (AP) learning.

Tutor Placement

Students and tutors are matched according to the specific needs of the learner. Tutors specialize in working with students of different ages and subjects and are placed according to how well their proficiencies match students' needs. Further consideration is given to student learning styles, student-tutor compatibiity, scheduling demands, and geographic location.

Availability

Accolade offers flexible scheduling and our tutors are available to meet at various times throughout the day, evening and weekend. Day time hours are available for homeschoolers, after school and evening hours for busy students and working parents, and weekends for those with busy schedules throughout the week.

To ensure the safety and protection of our students and their home and property, Accolade requires all tutors to undergo a formal background check and a personal interview. Selected are the most qualified, friendly, and successful tutors with a strong commitment to teaching and a great love of children or the students whom they serve.
