Credentials
Linda has over 20 years of experience as a private tutor in Florida and Georgia and has worked closely with local schools in leadership, academic, and community outreach capacities. She served on the Gwinnett County Health & Safety Board, the Gwinnett County Science & Technology Board, and was a member of the Citizens' Lobby for Kids and the SACS Committee for high school accreditation. She also served for three years as the Local School Advisory Chairman at the Gwinnett County high school from which her daughter graduated as Valedictorian of her class.

Teaching Experience
As a substitute teacher in both states, Linda has worked with developmentally delayed and severely handicapped, as well as gifted and accelerated students. She has taught everything from ESOL to Mythology. In Georgia she worked as a Trainer for students and adults with ADD/ADHD challenges at a learning company specializing in the study of brain wave activity in this population. She was most recently the Curriculum Director for a small learning company in North Fulton County where she taught both SAT & ACT Prep classes as well as Writing Workshops for middle and high school students, Study Skills, and all areas of language and the humanities. She uses classic literature and Latin Roots & Prefixes to teach vocabulary and strengthen reading comprehension and writing skills.

Other Experience
Linda has many years of leadership experience in school and community settings, including sports and the political arena. In addition to being a frequent Room Mother, Classroom Volunteer, and Team Mother for league sports, she also served as a State Republican Committeewoman and Campaign Chairman in a suburb of Syracuse, New York. In Florida she served on several boards of directors, holding office on the county level and lobbying for her community against high impact zoning issues. For five years she has been a facilitator with Rainbows International, an advocacy group for children experiencing grief and loss, such as death, divorce and incarceration.

Linda holds a Masters Degree in Community Counseling and was certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors in 1997. She enjoys teaching and is dedicated to motivating students by making the learning experience relevant and empowering.
